I am inspired by the huge skies and forever changing terrain of my local wetland landscape – the Ely fens.

From sketches and half-worked beginnings made while out walking, I develop my paintings in the studio using a mix of media including gouache and watercolour. It is this process of painting which fascinates me, drawing me in and away from my original intention, but always ending up somewhere near.
